Hello, I am Ron Schieferdecker, and I am proud to be a part of the Mid-America Harley Davidson family. I have been involved in the sales industry for over 20 years, and pride myself in handling every deal with honesty and integrity.
My love for two wheels began with my first bike, a Honda CT70, which my Father purchased for me from my Grandfather. I was 8 at the time, and motorcycles have been in my blood ever since! Being a sales manager for MAHD is hands down the greatest career that I have ever had. Everyday that I come to work, I get to put smiles on people's faces by helping make one of the great American dreams come to fruition??owning a Harley Davidson motorcycle!
In my time spent away from the dealership you will find me spending time with my beautiful wife Melissa and our four amazing children. Our entire family loves to ride, but it is a challenge sometimes fitting everyone on my RoadGlide. When not with my family you will find me at home on many Missouri stages, heading up my new band SoulRoot. I have been the front man for several Mid-Missouri bands for the past 20 years. My last music venture was a group called 2 Buck Drunk which played with several national acts, including Hinder, Candlebox, 7 Mary 3, Marshall Tucker Band, Saliva and Blue Oyster Cult, just to name a few.
Now??..I know what you are thinking, selling Harleys and singing in a rock band!..... I am a blessed man for certain and life has never been better.
I encourage you to get down here and put yourself in the saddle of an American legend, Harley-Davidson.

Hello world! My name is Kollin King, a.k.a. "Koko". I'm the newest Sales Associate here at Mid America Harley-Davidson and have obtained a lot about motorcycles in my time here. I actually learned how to ride my first bike, which was a brand new Iron 883, here at the dealership by Steve-O (Our Sales Manager). Two months after riding the Iron, I traded up to a Dyna Wide Glide and have ridden over 11,000 miles my first year. Riding and talking about motorcycles is definitely my passion. I ride around with a large group of people here in town, and we're always looking for more people to ride with! I also volunteer for Big Brother Big Sister's, and our dealership plans on doing events/fundraiser's with them this summer. Having bosses and coworkers that are such great people truly makes this place unique and very enjoyable to go to work every day. Come on in and visit our family. I look forward to seeing you!
Power Animal: Yetti My name is
Steve-O and I am The Sales Manager here at Mid America Harley Davidson. I have
been a part of the Family since day one, when my parents purchased the shop in
2001. I have been extremely involved in the dealership for the past 3 years and
can truly say that I live the Harley Lifestyle. I have been ripping, riding and roaring for 23 years. I have
coached, raced and rode motorcycles from California to Delaware. I am a third
generation racer/rider and can say whole heartedly that the passion for two
wheels is in my blood!
My name is Steve Tuchschmidt, one of the owners and operators here at Mid America Harley Davidson. I am married and have two wonderful children; Steve-O, who is twenty-seven, and our Sales Manager, and my lovely daughter Katie, who is twenty-three and serves as the Business Manager as well as the Riders Edge Coordinator. Katie is a recent graduate of University of Missouri. Go Tigers!
I have a passion that runs deep for the sport of motorcycling. When I was a very young child, my father would give me rides on the back of his bike. Back in 1970, I got my first bike. It was a blue Honda SL70. I will never forget the day my father brought it home for me because I developed an undying love for the sport of motorcycling. I have been riding my entire life, whether it has been in the dirt, on a track or enjoying a long ride on my Harley® bike with friends.
My father and I purchased this dealership in September of 2001, after a two-year pursuit. This is the first motorcycle dealership either of us has been involved in and the passion still runs deep after ten years. Anyone that knows me knows where to find me, right here at the Shop!
It has been said that you will never work another day in your life if you are doing something you love.
See ya at the shop!
My name is David I'm a Technician and Parts Associate here at MAHD. I have been apart of the family here for just over a year now and hope to be here for many years to come. I have been wrenching for as long as I can remember but it has been on the farm up until now. I'm living my dream making your bike the bike of your dreams. Feel free to ask me about any concerns or ideas you have about your bike. Come join the family I'm glad I did
My name is Laura
Tuchschmidt and I am one of the owners here at Mid America Harley Davidson. You
won't see me running around the shop as much as Steve, but I am always here. I
am in charge of the "paper-pushing," counting the pennies and keeping
everyone in line. Between my two children that work here and our tight knit
staff, we are more like one big family and I play the role of the mother. My love for motorcycles
came later in life, when I met the love of my life. When I first met Steve, he
lived, breathed and bled motorcycles. I knew that if I wanted to share my life
with him I had to be open to the idea of motorcycles. When he came to me with
the plan of owning his own motorcycle shop I was completely supportive. I knew this
would make Steve happy and it would be a family business. For over 30 years now
my life has been motorcycles and I wouldn't change a thing!
My name is Katie and I have been part of the family for 24 years and part of the Mid America Family for 10 years. I have worked here on and off since my parents purchased the Dealership in 2001. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in Hospitality Management! I have worked in motorclothes, the business office, web-design and am currently managing the financial department. Everyone is so tight knit at MAHD and I absolutely love being a part of the Family! I have recently become the new Riders Edge Coordinator and am very excited about this upcoming year!
I have been in love with motorcycles since I was big enough to ride with my dad. I have always had a need for speed and used to constantly ask my dad to go faster! I got my first motorcycle when I was 11 years old and have loved two wheels ever since. I used to ride a 150 Vespa but have since stepped up to an 883 Iron from MAHD Customs! Stop by and see us all here at Mid America Harley Davidson!
Hi my name is Karla and I am the Office Manager. I joined the Mid America Harley-Davidson family of employees almost 2 years ago. My husband has always dreamed of owning a Harley, we both enjoy riding. No excuses! MAHD is an awesome place to work AND if you work hard you get to play hard too!! Our customers are all so friendly and fun to be around, it makes coming to work a pleasure. Thanks Steve and Laura for this opportunity!
I have known the Tuchschmidts for over a decade. I enjoy working for such a wonderful family. I look forward to seeing you in the shop. That's me in front of a Corpse Flower. It is the largest flower in the world and only blooms once every couple of years. It gets its name from the odor it emits while blooming. It smells like rotting flesh!
Hi! My name is Amy, and I am the Motorclothes Manager. I have been working here at Mid America Harley Davidson on and off sice I was 16 (about 7 years!) My interest in motorcycles really started when I was 8 years old. I used to ride with my step-dad on his Goldwing. But my love for Harley-Davidson really started when I became part of the Family here at MAHD, it's definitely a lifestyle! I currently ride a sweet pink scooter so you might see me around town. I absolutely love working here, we have the best group of people around, we are all like a big family!
Hey everyone, my name is Ashlee and I work in motorclothes! I graduated from Stephens College last spring with a degree in Theater. When I was in grade school I started playing the viola and never stopped. If you see me at the shop I will most likely be the one singing, laughing or saying silly things! Recently, I took the Riders Edge course to learn how to ride a motorcycle and passed with flying colors! It was scary at first but now I'm riding like a pro. Who knows, I may be on a bike before long!
Hey Everyone!
Hey Ya'll,
